Inspired by the traditional Chinese opera known as Wayang.
Amber loves playing with her cymbals. But her mother is annoyed by all the din and calls her ‘a whole noisy wayang rolled up in one small girl’. After watching a wayang show, Amber decided that she wants to be a wayang performer. She takes lessons from a veteran performer. Through her lessons, Amber learns about the main roles in Chinese opera and the intricacies of this traditional performing art.
