Stack your skills step by step to master acting, directing and playwriting.
Acclaimed playwright and director Chong Tze Chien presents Stacking a Performance, an original framework that unites acting, directing and playwriting into a cohesive craft. Drawing on the concept of stacking a building, his system equips readers to establish firm foundations, layer techniques with precision, and shape performances that feel both disciplined and alive. Through practical exercises, clear guidance and imaginative tools, the book offers artists, at every stage, a structured yet flexible pathway to deepen their creative practice.
