“The humour and camaraderie of the children, the robots and the lovable parents are reassuring, and makes you wish you could be part of the group in their next adventure.”
— Naomi Kojima, Japanese author and illustrator of The Alphabet Picture Book and Singing Shijimi Clams“What’s not to love about a savvy kid with pluck, prepared to step outside humdrum routines to solve mysteries? Young readers everywhere dream of pushing limits in pursuit of adventure, and Sam is all the more appealing for his habit of running rings around grown-up buffoons. In Sherlock Sam, A.J. Low has conceived a series sure to have long-term appeal.”
— Ken Spillman, author of the Jake series“From the first missing heirloom in Katong to this current cloaked classmate in MacRitchie, Sherlock Sam continues to captivate its readers. Definitely a middle-grade series that I would unreservedly recommend to teachers, parents, and fellow bibliogeeks. Science!”
— Myra Garces-Bacsal, PhD, National Institute of Education, Singapore -

Adan Jimenez was born in the San Joaquin Valley in California to Mexican immigrant parents. He became an immigrant himself when he moved to Singapore after living in New York for almost a decade. He has worked for comic book stores, bookstores, gaming stores and even a hoagie sandwich shop once. He loves comics, LEGOs, books, games (analogue and video), science fiction and sandwiches. He currently works in the video game industry.
Born and raised in Singapore, Felicia Low-Jimenez has been a geek for most of her life and has written a lot of fanfiction. She was a bookseller and now works in comics publishing. She spends most of her free time reading, napping and eating chocolate. If she leaves the house, it’s usually to go to a bookstore.
The Sherlock Sam series has won the Singapore Book Awards for Best Young Persons Title 2021, the International Schools Libraries Network’s Red Dot Award 2013–2014, and the Popular Readers’ Choice Award numerous times. Sherlock Sam has been published in North America, Indonesia, Turkey, South Korea, Myanmar, and will soon be published in China and the Middle East (2023). An animated series is also in the works.

Andrew Tan (also known as drewscape) is a full-time freelance illustrator and an Eisner-nominated comic artist. He illustrates for print ads and magazines, and also enjoys storyboarding and illustrating for picture book projects. During his free time, he's always creating his own comics for the fun of it. In his home studio you'll find an overflow of art tools of all kinds as he loves experimenting with them. He has already too many fountain pens and tells himself that he will stop buying more. Andrew published his first graphic novel, Monsters, Miracles & Mayonnaise, in 2012.
