In the sixth book of this series, Sherlock Sam encounters his most important mystery yet! His classmate has gone missing at MacRitchie Reservoir, and no one can find him. Fearing the worst, Officer Siva refuses to let the Supper Club help, but there’s never been a mystery Sherlock, Watson and their friends could ignore!

This book is also the first of The Fiendish Mastermind Trilogy! An exciting trilogy that will keep you at the edge of your seat.

“In the sixth book of the Sherlock Sam seriesinspired by Sherlock Holmes and quirkily injected with a happy dose of Singaporean flairthe locally-based husband-and-wife duo of A.J. Low provides yet another thought-provoking read for children with a new plot and some new characters.”
—Katherine ArtecheTime Out Singapore

This detective series about 10-year-old Samuel Tan Cher Lock or "Sherlock Sam" is huge fun for children as well as adult readers. In their sixth adventure and the first of a related trilogy, Sherlock Sam and his robot sidekick Watson hunt for a classmate who goes missing at MacRitchie Reservoir.
—Akshita Nanda, The Sunday Times

“Watch out, Encyclopedia Brown! With the wit of Sherlock Holmes and grit of Sam Malone, Sherlock Sam is the new kid detective on the scene.”
—Daniel Nayeri, author of Straw House, Wood House, Brick House, Blow

“Sherlock Sam is an approachable, fun and easy read that has everything you could ask for in a mystery story: a robust cast of unique and interesting characters, a chase scene, and just the right level of solvability (that is to say, the reader CAN solve the case before the detective, but it’s not easy!) The bonus materials are great too. Fingers crossed: I’m hoping for a deluxe edition of Sherlock Sam that comes with a Four Square ball, sidewalk chalk, and all the ingredients I need to make Horchata!”
—Blake Henry, illustrator of Chronal Engine: A Prehistoric Time-Travel Adventure

“A thrilling kid’s detective romp.”
—Otto Fong, author of Sir Fong’s Adventures in Science

“Sherlock Sam and Watson are set to become one of Singapore’s favourite detective duos! Watson’s deadpan one-liners had me laughing out loud.”
—Emily Lim, award-winning author of Tibby, the Tiger Bunny and Prince Bear & Pauper Bear

“If I were a kid again—and that was just last night—there was no way I wouldn't join Sherlock Sam in his great, adult-dodging adventure and mosquito-ridden investigations! I would hide inside his robot Watson and talk-like-this-and-eat-his-stash-of-Khong-Guan-biscuits-when-he-wasn't-watching. Come-on-Sherlock-make-me-your-best-friend-already!”
—Gwee Li Sui, creator of Myth of the Stone

“What's not to love about a savvy kid with pluck, prepared to step outside humdrum routines to solve mysteries? Young readers everywhere dream of pushing limits in pursuit of adventure, and Sam is all the more appealing for his habit of running rings around grown-up buffoons. In Sherlock Sam, A.J. Low has conceived a series sure to have long-term appeal.
—Ken Spillman, author of the Jake series

“From the first missing heirloom in Katong to this current cloaked classmate in MacRitchie, Sherlock Sam continues to captivate its readers. Definitely a middle-grade series that I would unreservedly recommend to teachers, parents, and fellow bibliogeeks. Science!
—Dr Myra Garces-Bascal, National Institute of Education, Singapore
