My Grandpas, My Birding Kakis

Josephyne Ho is a Singaporean writer and illustrator with over two decades of experience in Early Childhood Education. Holding a postgraduate degree in the field, she brings her expertise into her creative work, crafting engaging and gentle narratives for young readers. Josephyne discovered her passion for writing and illustration during the Covid pandemic in 2020, exploring watercolour as her preferred medium for its soothing quality and the dreamlike softness it brings to her art. She recently published The Birds in the Park, a sequel to her debut children’s book, The Birds In The Balcony, continuing her heartfelt exploration of nature and its wonders through her signature watercolour illustrations.

Afiqah M. Suhaimi is a talented artist known for her bespoke illustrations that capture personality and charm. Her work, featured in Josephyne Ho's latest book My Grandpas, My Birding Kakis of My Family series, brings vivid storytelling to life, blending her love for hand-drawn art and nature. Recently recognised with the Gold Award in the Emerging Artist category at the UOB Painting of the Year (2023), Afiqah’s illustrations showcase her unique style and storytelling talent.
