Part-primer, part-history and part-GE2025 critique, the book is a must-read for students of Singapore politics, eligible voters and aspiring politicians alike. Written as an instructional manual parody, the book tells the story of how politics in Singapore came to be the creature it is today.
Bertha Henson, author of GE2020: Fair or Foul?, delves deep into the abyss with her usual journalistic eloquence and delivers a page-turner. Witty infographics help make sense of otherwise mind-boggling electoral numbers and data. Chin and Chai, a comic strip created by the author, are on hand to tickle your brain - or just tickle.
A novel approach to political writing certainly, which should appeal to younger and less informed readers. For the not-so-young, it will be a nostalgic refresher.
