When I Was in Uniform…

In this charming and funny book, Suresh recalls his days in the Singapore Armed Forces after being enlisted in 1975. Although the army then was not as well equipped or well organised as it is today, the people whom he met and worked with improvised where necessary and made creative use of limited resources. Some were colourful characters who left an indelible mark, others outstanding pioneers in their field who became legends in their own time. He dedicates this book them, and to all young enlistees who will never know what it was like in the old days unless someone enlightens them.
