把爱藏起来 What is Love?

什么是爱呢？可以吃吗？可以摸吗？爱会不见吗？会变少吗？我们要把爱藏在哪里呢？让阿嬷来告诉我们吧。

爱是非常难以界定的概念，每一个人的诠释都不同，对于幼儿而言更难理解。它包含分享、付出、牺牲、善意、忠诚等情操。孩子在情感发展的过程中，经由父母的肢体言语表达以及对照顾者的需要、依附等，在互动历程中逐渐模仿，建立起自我价值及对他人的接纳，把爱的概念连结起来。作者透过简单日常的陈述方式，呈现爱的概念。爱不是牺牲自我、听话顺从，而是互相守候，从幼儿时父母亲的养育教导到老年时儿女的照顾陪伴，在时间的长河里日积月累。

爱很简单，它就在生活中；爱也很难，因为它考验在生活中的我们。

Love is an abstract concept which different people may have different interpretations. It is even harder for children to understand the concept of love. Love encompasses sharing, giving, sacrificing, kindness, loyalty and more. Parents or caregivers play an important role in nurturing children's social emotional development as children imitate adults' body language, actions, and words. Based on the feelings and attachment with parents developed through intimate interactions, children will gradually build their self-esteem and learn to accept others. The author presents the concept of love through episodes of family interaction. Love is not about sacrificing oneself or obedience, but about mutual respect and companionship. With love, parents will nurture and guide the children when they are young; in turn, the adult children will keep the parents accompanied when they grow old.

Love is simple as we are always surrounded by love in daily life; however, love can also be hard as there may be challenges to overcome in different occasions.
