Darren Ong is an academic from Kuching, Sarawak. He holds a PhD in mathematics from Rice University in Houston, USA.
He is now an associate professor at Xiamen University Malaysia. He wrote this book whilst in the US as a lecturer to help a friend, who was struggling through a difficult doctorate programme.
For many years, Darren has volunteered to teach mathematics to young children.
Anngee Neo is a Singaporean illustrator who works predominantly in the digital medium to create illustrations with an emphasis on storytelling and characterisation that have been described as quirky, surreal and whimsical.
Clients includes HP, SJ50 Matsuri, The National Art Gallery Singapore, Singapore Cable Car and GAP. She is also the illustrator of several books, including The Phantom of Oxley Castle, The Crane and the Crab and The Rock and the Bird, which won the Hedwig Anuar Children’s Book Award and a Singapore Book Award.
