Dive into another collection of Singaporean fables.

The second volume of local fables continues to enchant with ten illustrated tales. Follow the Singapore blue tarantula as she overcomes an embarrassing moment, the sambar deer as he discovers his own power, and the clever palm civet who learns the downside of greed. Each fable, set amid the rich tapestry of Singapore's wildlife, imparts timeless wisdom alongside fascinating facts about Singapore's flora and fauna.

  • Chen Junhua has been an educator for over 17 years. He draws inspiration from his interests in reading, writing, singing; playing video games, basketball, music; and his love for nature. He hopes to inspire children to seek their passions too. He currently lives in the concrete jungle of Singapore and is considered a native species of the island.

Chan Shu Yin is an artist and art therapist. She brings nature-inspired stories to life through her art. The experiences she has acquired as a visual effects artist and art therapist have helped nurture, develop and ground her techniques in watercolour painting. She enjoys the act of creating as a form of self-care and a way to tell personal stories. She enjoys observing her cat as live reference and watching paint dry.
