Robert Yeo taught a course on the teaching of Literature at the National Institute of Education for nearly three decades. He taught Creative Writing in the Singapore Management University from 2013 to 2018. He is an established poet and playwright and the author of Singapore Short Stories, a book used as an 'O' level text in 1989. The opera, Fences of the Heart, for which he wrote the libretto, was staged in 2012. In 2014, he received the SEAsia Write award. His latest book is the play The Eye of History, published in 2016.
