How did a “Little Red Dot” transform from a resource-poor island into a leading global economic and financial hub?
In this book, Taiwan’s representative to Singapore, Tung Chen-Yuan, unveils the secrets behind Singapore’s 60-year journey from a small island nation to a global benchmark of success. As a multi-racial, multilingual, and multi-religious society, Singapore’s achievements are not only measured by its economic performance and administrative efficiency, but also by its deep-rooted foundations in social stability, racial harmony, and national unity.
Divided into ten key themes—national development, governance, diplomacy and defense, economic development, factors of production, education system, technological innovation, urban planning, social cohesion, tourism, and culture—the book features 60 essays that offer an in-depth analysis of Singapore’s policies and strategic thinking.
