Local editor Ann Peters has worked for many years in Asia’s mainstream print media. In this collection of rhyming verses, she tells the stories from her wondrous, carefree childhood in Singapore, from a child’s point of view. The characters in her verses embody the spirit of the people among whom she grew up, and which she wishes to share with today’s children. Ann has two grown-up children.
Yang Liye Lydia is a Singaporean-bred illustrator who believes in the power of visual appeal and that all things can be made beautiful with time and a touch of change.
The subject and themes of her illustrations are usually a translation of her feelings or metaphorical interpretations of her experiences.
Yang is influenced by the likes of Gary Baseman, McBess and Classic Disney.
