Santa reached back and opened the sack.
He was so shocked that he nearly quacked!
Thousands of pairs of small beady eyes,
Followed by snouts and wide, oinky smiles.Meet Boomy and Chelfer: Santa’s chaos-causing, mess-making goblin helpers! They sound pretty fun, don’t they? Unfortunately, the elves find them extremely annoying and banish the duo to the cellar – permanently. But Boomy and Chelfer hatch a plan so silly that it risks ruining Christmas for every child in the world! Will Boomy and Chelfer ever be allowed back in the workshop? And how will they save Christmas?!
Get ready for Santa’s Little Goblins, a wickedly naughty story packed with silly, rambunctious fun! Dive into a delightfully playful picture book bursting with pink pigs, toys that go ‘splat’ and ‘boing-boing’, unhinged mischief and a supersonic invention that sends Santa speeding across the globe to save Christmas! Written by first-time author Janina Kutyn and illustrated by Junis Laureano, Santa’s Little Goblins invites children to explore the magic of Christmas through a unique point of view of two unlikely heroes. Beyond the silliness also lies the underlying Christmas message of tolerance, understanding and goodwill to all – a particularly meaningful message for all in the challenging times that we live in today.
While it is a detour from Pepper Dog Press’s historical tales, Santa’s Little Goblins carries our usual mark of inclusiveness and diversity. Children and their grown-ups will appreciate that the elves, toys and landmarks illustrated within these pages embrace the world’s wonderful diversity of ethnicities, cultures and countries. Yet it is treated sensitively and with the greatest respect.
Pepper Dog Press’s latest title is a substantial, 52-page hardback picture book that is perfect for Christmas gifting. Written in verse and targeted at 5-10 year olds, this wacky yet meaningful story will surely draw laughter from children time and time again, whether during Christmas or any other times of the year, for the message is a universal and timeless one.
