Work, education, and healthcare also build our capabilities and relationships, so that we can live flourishing lives.

    Living Digital 2040 takes the view that it is up to us create a future that is better than the one today. It explores practical possibilities we could pursue, and how our collective capacity for innovation and collaboration can tackle the disruptive forces, and transform our lives for the better.

  • Poon King Wang, Director, Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He is also concurrently SUTD's Director for Strategic Planning, and Co-Director of the SUTD-JTC Industrial Infrastructure Innovation Centre. He is the Principal Investigator for the project.

    Hyowon Lee, Assistant Professor, Information Systems Technology and Design, Singapore University of Technology and Design. His field of research and expertise are in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), interaction design, usability and user experience (UX). He is a Co-Principal Investigator for the project.

    Lim Wee Kiat was at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities as Research Fellow, and Co-Principal Investigator for the project. He is currently a Research Fellow at the Asian Business Case Centre, Nanyang Business School, at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Prior to his PhD education in sociology, Wee Kiat worked for six years in Singapore, holding research and planning positions in telecommunications and national defence sectors. His research interests lie at the intersections of organisational change, technology, and risks, focusing on crises and disasters.

    Mohan Rajesh Elara, Senior Lecturer, Engineering Product Development, Singapore University of Technology and Design. His research interests are in reconfigurable robotics with emphasis on design as well as research problems related to control, human robot interaction, navigation, and perception. He is a Co-Principal Investigator for the project.

    Youngjin (Marie) Chae, Research Fellow, Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities. Marie is a research scientist in the field of technologically-intensive design for functional garments and wearable electronics. Her research interests are in the areas of creative design in smart clothing & E-textiles, energy harvesting for flexible mobile devices, emotional and humanitarian aspects of wearable devices and comfort issues of functional garments. She is a Research Fellow for the project.

    Gayathri Balasubramanian, Research Assistant, Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities. Gayathri is interested in studying how the nature of human-technology interaction is evolving with rapid advancement of technology, its consequences on users' abilities, and how to design technology that inherently overcomes negative consequences of its prolonged use. She is a Research Assistant for the project.

    Aaron Yong Wai Keet, Senior Industrial Designer, Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities. Aaron is a practitioner of human-centered design, he conceptualizes and designs future artefacts through prototyping of future personas and scenarios. He is a Senior Industrial Designer for the project.

    Raymond Yeong Wei Wen, Research Officer, Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities. Raymond is interested in understanding how technology and robotics are evolving especially in the field of reconfigurable robotics, with an emphasis on design, as well as how state-of-the-art in the evolution of technology and robots affect us in our activities. He is a Research Officer for the project.
