Wenxi Lee has 5 years of experience teaching math in the Chicagoland area. As a product of Singapore's math curriculum, she tells it all in her first book The Secrets to Singapore's Worldclass Math Curriculum. She is also the co-founder of Numerica, a specialty math learning center, to expand the work she has done with homeschool families, educators, and students on how to successfully adopt Singapore math. Wenxi was born and raised in Singapore, but she now calls Chicago home. In 2016, she graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in mathematics and art history, inspired by the classical training she received from her dad. During her professional career as a data analyst in the advertising industry, Wenxi discovered her passion for teaching and education while volunteering as a tutor. She has since completed coursework for her M.Ed in educational policy and is currently a doctoral student in mathematics education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to teaching, writing, studying and working, Wenxi loves to cook and bake for her husband and their dog. She also likes to keep her mental math skills sharp by shopping at sales. If you enjoyed reading her book, be sure to check out her new writing project on Numerica's blog that reviews various math curricula!
