Bertha Henson is an independent journalist, media trainer and political commentator on social media. She worked in the Singapore Press Holdings stable of newspapers for 25 years, until 2012. After leaving the company, she taught media at the National University of Singapore until 2018. She has since been conducting media and writing workshops for public agencies and private companies.
She is the author of four non-fiction books, including GE2020: Fair or Foul and Not for Circulation: The George E Bogaars Story, the biography of a former head of Singapore’s civil service, published by NUS Press. In 2024, she self-published When Mama Fell, a personal look at navigating the healthcare system for seniors. In August 2025, a condensed version of the book was printed by the Agency for Integrated Care for public distribution. This is her fifth book.
