The teenager Bean is part of the Tak Takut Kids Club community. Through the medium of comics, Bean’s unfiltered expressions speak of frustration and confusion, but also of feelings of safety and support. Bean’s comics are bolstered by the visual narratives of artist Anngee Neo and commentaries of Lim Ci Xuan, a Gen-Z artist-facilitator, both of whom played key roles in Bean’s journey. Together, Bean, Neo and Lim bring to the fore issues like counselling, mentorship and finding security in community.

Lim Ci Xuan (she/they) is a performance maker who explores the intersections of social advocacy and experimental arts.
