Selvaraj Velayutham is an Australian Research Council Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Social Inclusion, Macquarie University, New South Wales, Australia. His area of research interests are globalization. transnationalism, migration and Tamil cultural studies. He has published on the topic of affect and moral economy of migration among South Indians. He is currently editing a book on Tamil Cinema: The Cultural Politics of India's Other Film Industry.
