The brand-new boxed set, Heritage Houses, contains 12 delightful notecards depicting historic residences in Singapore. Painted by artist Graham Byfield, they celebrate Singapore’s architectural heritage.
A variety of residential types are featured in this series. There are classic black-and- white houses in historic estates such as Alexandra Park, Goodwood Hill and Seton Close. Graham Byfield is an English painter and designer who lived and worked in Singapore for most of the 1980s and early 19005. He has always been interested in architectural heritage and its conservation. As a resident he developed an interest in the old city and started to record it in watercolours. To his delight, he witnessed the dawn of real conservation in Singapore, which has continued to enhance the city's appeal. Now based in Spain, where he has his own gallery, he travels extensively to research his series of Sketchbooks. His other books include Bali Sketchbook and London Sketchbook.
